PURPOSE OF THE 24 HOUR TELEPHONE

| The purpose of the 24 hour telephone line is to help the still suffering alcoholic. If the caller wants basic information such as meeting locations or general information the 24 hour telephone line can provide that. If the caller has a problem with alcohol and wants to quit drinking a telephone contact with another member can be set up for further discussion of how we of Alcoholics Anonymous might be able to help.
It might be helpful to get some information about what Alcoholics Anonymous does and does not do.
