Twelve Step/Phone Chair

Details:

This committee shall be responsible to maintain and update phone volunteer and 12 step call lists for use in the office and by the phone volunteers.  Because of the importance of anonymity, we must ensure that all names on the lists be kept confidential at all times.

The 12 Step List / Phones Committee should follow the suggested general guidelines for Standing Committees of  SSSC.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
 

2.    The committee shall be responsible to actively seek volunteers for the lists.  (The GSO guidelines suggest that those on the list itself have a minimum of six months of continuous sobriety).

3.    The lists should be updated and re-typed as necessary.

4.    Committee members should periodically call A.A. members on the lists to ensure accuracy of information.

5.    Committee members should facilitate the orientation of new A.A. volunteers to the lists.

6.    The Chairperson shall be a member of the Office Affairs Committee

Requirements:

The Chairperson of the 12 step List / Phones Committee should have a minimum of two years of continuous sobriety and a strong service background.
