What is a Registered Group?

What is a Listed Group?

Groups designated as Registered Groups or by the letters RG, in our schedule, have registered with the General Service Office of Alcoholics Anonymous (GSO) in New York. They have communication with GSO. It does not have anything to do with who may or may not attend the meeting.

Any group can become a registered group by submitting a form. Being registered does not indicate either endorsement or approval of the group. Each group is autonomous.

The term Registered is now changed to Listed.  Please see the FAQ on listed groups for more information.
